Once upon a time, we used to normalize reading and talking about news in places like coffee shops and diners. In NYC, you could buy a paper at most major subway stations at newsstands. Those subway newsstands have since been closed down and replaced with police stations, and it’s rare when a modern coffee shop or restaurant will even sell you a newspaper, let alone be okay with you talking about the news in their establishments. Let’s normalize discussing the world around us again, before it all burns down lol. 😭🙏🏽🔥💨
