Over time, you might end up with a fragmented community, with many people using multiple messaging apps. People eventually grow tired of the differences between apps, switching between them, and things become a mess. *how can I fix this??* Bridging! bolt lets you connect channels across platforms so people can choose what app they want to use, get the same messages, and are on the same page. It currently supports Discord, Spacebar, Fluxer, Stoat, Telegram, Matrix, and IRC, but can support more platforms in the future, and allows you to bridge as many channels as you like, so you can bring people wherever you'd like. *how can I set it up?* see the site for more detailed instructions, but TL;DR: 1. run the `!bolt bridge create` command on one platform in order to create a bridge. It should send you a DM with a bridge ID. Take note of this, and keep it secret! Anyone who has a bridge ID can join/leave/modify your bridge. 2. Now that you've created a bridge, and have its ID, you can now join it on other platforms. Run `!bolt bridge join <id>`, replacing `<id>` with the bridge ID from Step 1. It should send you a DM telling you that this was successful, and messages should start to bridge. Delete the message containing the bridge ID once its responded to you.
